For many of us, at some point during our lives, our mental health will suffer and we can feel emotionally and physically drained. The COVID pandemic has had a big impact on mental health and it's common to find ourselves feeling overwhelmed by our mental health and not knowing where to turn or who to talk to.
That's why protecting our mental wellbeing, and supporting others is so crucial and why Selby RUFC has launched the Let’s Talk initiative. Here at Selby, we are team both on the pitch and off it.
We now have a team of trained Members at the Club who you can turn to for a chat. These friendly, non-judgemental people can provide a listening ear when you need to talk to someone outside of your family or friendship group. Click the ‘talk to us’ tab for details.
Or, you may wish to look at our Helpful Information section where you can find details of different organisations who can help with specific areas of mental health such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, LGBTQ+ issues or self-harm and suicide.
If you are feeling as though you need to talk to someone urgently, please call The Samaritans on 116 123. Or, email jo@samaritans.org Please call 999 if you need urgent medical attention.
