On the Senior Rugby side I think it's safe to say that so far, the season has been a mixed bag. The 1st XV have not had the results their playing style and efforts deserved. The scores have not been in our favour, but the rugby has still been good and enjoyable to watch and see our young team develop their playing skills. Hopefully we'll see the results come along. The 2nd XV are riding high in their Merit Table and long may this continue. We are also in the fantastic position to regularly put out 3rds and 4ths squads - there are not that many clubs in Yorkshire that can say the same. Our Senior Women continue to play exiting rugby with results coming their way. Thank you to the senior coaching and fitness teams keeping our players going week on week.

The Youth Section continues to be one of the jewels in our crown. This is something we do really well with over 420 young players registered at Selby RUFC. There may well be other clubs with large Youth Sections but none that can compares with ours! This is the fruition of all the hard work put in by Nikki Keep, the Youth Committee, volunteer managers and coaches, along with Richard Nicholson as RDO - I can't thank them enough.

We have much to celebrate at Selby RUFC both on and off the pitch and I'm excited to see what the future holds for us.

I look forward to welcoming everyone to Sandhill Lane on Thursday for our annual Boxing Day Exiles match and to see our friends from far and wide return for this special afternoon. KO 2.00 pm. League rugby resumes on the 4th January when we are at home against Driffield and we welcome our local Farmers for their annual lunch.
